Just scored these last night 28 morgans and 5 peace plus some half dollars and some Canadian currency for my birthday! years starting at 1880
:thumb:Yes as it looks like a MS-63 also have the details ck out I think I see a top 100 Vam???? in hand I could note what Vam it has:kewl:
I don't know much about VAMs. I only own one, and it's the 1887 O Double 1, triple 7. I don't even know what to look for. If it IS a VAM it was not listed as such. I looked on the VAM World Website to learn what to look for. Sadly I can't find my loupe! Looks like I'll have to get a new one. Thanks Jello for pointing that out to me, otherwise I would have overlooked it.
Slim chances of it not being listed, some VAMs are just so tiny in what to look for they are hard to figure out. The posted coin, the 1886 looks borderline for grading. That cheek is scurfy and could hold it to a 62/maybe 63.
Just picked this one up. Not particularly expensive (greysheet low end) considering the toning and the grade:
WOW... this coin would pay off my mortgage!!! Very Nice, take her skirt off for a nice photo shoot before selling, then post the results! Erik
I found this one hidden away from decades ago ! I remember jello saying that some coins once came in 2x2s that had square cellophane centers instead of round
After looking at Todd's (you dog, you!) collage a few pages back, I feel some degree of satisfaction because it appears that I have a couple in higher grades.....1880-S PCGS MS65DMPL & 1885-O PCGS MS65DMPL (OGH).....but no doilies! This was a gift from my buddy, Shane aka Kryptonitecomics. It's in an old "No Line Fatty". Chris
I sure do recall the square ones I still have a few wheat cent that I found as a kid to remind myself.:thumb:
