I'll start this thread with a pickup from a coin shop that I could not pass up for the rediculously low price of $20:
    049-1.jpg 050-1.jpg
He wanted $40 for it, but he is a friend of the family and he always gives me good deals when I go see him everyonce and a great while. He did tell me that he was sitting on it for a long, long time. That would be my first large size note (some nicer examples to come hopefully in the following months ).
From here on, all for face from tellers & straps:
051-1.jpg 052-1.jpg I noticed that '06 II-B in a ATM withdrawal of $20's and I thought to myself, "I didn't even recall Minneapolis producing a B block on that series..." Sure enough, it's from a lower run of 6.4 mil... Not *too* low of a run, however I love the Minneapolis district and it's a nice note in good shape.
056-1.jpg I like the S/N on the IB-* note... Too bad that 3 isn't a 1 or 0. That IG-* is from a low run of 640k but the IB-*'s don't seem to come up all that often so they are generally on the scarcer side of modern stars for sure...

View attachment 211352 That '74 L-C is borderline XF & AU IMO.
View attachment 211353 Those are both strap finds.
So my teller calls me up... She says "I don't want to spoil the surprise for you... But does the name "Robert B. Anderson mean anything in particular to you?". I said anywhere in the 1950's series!! Instantly, I knew I had to get down there with the quickness. It was surely worth it!::D

*Please note that the purpose of this thread is to show people that enjoy circulation finds all of my finds. I am not asking values, keep or spend opinions, etc... Except one note that is. I am curious about the 1976 $2. Is it off enough to be considered a minor error? I am very unsure about it...

    Thanks!

Sorry guys. Been really busy for the past couple days. I don't know why those links aren't working, let's give them another try:

And here are my 2 prized finds out of my recent grabs:
    054-1.jpg 058-1.jpg 059-1.jpg

Believe it or not, pulled that $5 straight out of a strap!:D

Please let me know if those links are working. I believe that $2 to be a minor error with the seal touching the signature. Not all that scarce, I'm sure, but when it comes to errors - minor or exceptional, I'll take what I can get. Beggers can't be choosers.;)

I like all those notes, the 1's especially. I collect 1's way more often than the others. Nice pickup on the 2. Minor errors are tough enough to find these days, let alone a major error.

    Tbud,
I resetly posted a $20 that had an offset like that and was told it was within BEP acceptable limits.

    g1rge,
I think you think I'm referring to the top margin on my $2 note as being off, but I am actually referring to the seal. I was told a while ago that as long as the seal is touching part of the signature, it's not within the acceptable limits. I recall your $20. The seal was not low like it is on my $2 note.

Here's the link to the one I posted. They look pretty close to me.

Do you see how part of the green seal is touching the signature on my note? It's not touching on yours.. That is the reason in which I call the $2 note a minor error.

SWEET FIND on that Binary Radar Lincoln!!

As for the 1976 $2. They are notoriously bad with cutting and alignment. I, personally, would still consider that an error as you said an element from one printing is over-lapping another. It's a minor error and probably not much of a premium, but still interesting and probably worth a little extra to the right buyer.

    Cool finds all around!! :)

    Ryan,

Thank you, Mr. Lincoln would have to be my favorite out of all of them as well. I have found one other '76 $2 H-A error that is exactly like this E-A but slightly more dramatic. I don't have a whole lot of $2's in my collection, or errors, so it only makes sense to me that I keep it.

Travis, I think you're right on the $2 as a minor error. I'm thinking in that condition though that you may only see a slight premium by error note collectors if you decided to sell it.

All around, nice notes for face value. :)
