As I was reading through the posts just now I wondered why I never see any more posts about this 1988 with reverse of 89 Lincoln Memorial cent.
A while ago there were discussions on it but I don't remember if anything was resolved. I do know that some who have this coin in their possession want to keep it very hush hush and private, as is their prerogative.
So what's been happening in the decision making end of it as to the rareness and worth of this " varietry "? Does the ANA handle these things or the Third Party Graders? Has anyone heard anything recently? Opinions please.
Here's what I am talking about.

Could be that they are TOUGH to find. Not many people come across 'em. I still don't have one.

There is an ANACS MS63 RED RDV-006 (1988 reverse of 1989) on ebay ending in about four hours. This auction may finally help give us an idea of the perceived value of this particular variety. 'HUSH-HUSH" or not the truth may be about to make her appearance.

There are a few different Dies for this coin. Does anyone know a site that shows photos
of all the different dies? Is one die worth more than another?

Dave, can't find that listing on ebay. Do you have a link? Thanks - Doug

The 88 transitional cents are a rare find indeed, almost up there with the 92 CAMs.
