I found this $100 Series 2006 with serial number HG00005095B in the wild. Not sure if it is worth keeping around. How low would this serial number be considered and does anyone know what the value over the initial $100 would be? See the attached photos.

Keeper! Put it in a protective sleeve. To find the value, put it up on ebay.

I say it's a spender. Most serious collectors want at least 5 leading zeros...this only has four. Plus, being a $100 note...they tend to be difficult to get much of a premium for them because of the high face value. If it were me...I would spend it.

Most collectors of $100s tend to prefer high grade notes. This one wouldn't pass XF. But I would consider it low with 4 leading zeroes.

It's up to you. It might fetch a little bit over face from the right collector - but don't expect a big premium.

In my opinion, that pen mark on the reverse would kill any potential profit that may have taken place on that note. Try putting it on the bay and see if I am wrong.

Keep it if you can afford to do so for either an emergency, or to use towards a better example, or another note. It is simply a low serial note in XF condition from a run of 3.2 million notes, so not rare at all, even for a run. IMO, it will not fetch that much of a premium if put on ebay due to the high investment for face value to begin with.
