Looks like it was designed in India! It's not bilingual yet though, I'll give them credit for that!

Somebody posted a pic of Monopoly money alongside U.S. currency, and sure enough, matching colors! I don't remember where that was posted...

This would be great for conspiracy theorists. The reason these were being shipped from Dallas to Philadelphia was to be destroyed. When they were first printed alot of them had folds leaving blank spaces in print and errors with the holographic ink. They were said to have been gone through by hand for the past several months to cull out the errors. I read that story on Yahoo. Wouldn't be too hard to think the robbery didn't happen, but that by reporting it they could make those errors as impossible to sell as the 1933 double eagle. Lol!

I saw some being printed in Fort Worth last year at the BEP. The paper looks blue to me.

I modified the famous infographic to include the new $100.

Only the orange on the right of the obverse matches the $100 monopoly bill, so I had to flip those two horizontally.

Yeah haha I saw the article showing the new $100 was posted a few years ago but I didn't know if anybody was like me and still haven't heard about them or saw them yet!

And they are scheduled to come out next year so hopefully there's no more printing problems!

I work at a bank and we don't use the pens. There junk. They can't detect washed bills (Someone takes all the ink off of a 5 dollar bill and print a $100 on it)

Best way to check for counterfeit is to check the security thread and water mark.

The "sideways" 100 on the reverse will be very handy in a couple of years when we're inserting them into snack and cigarette machines.

I would still like to see the $500 and $1000 bills re-issued. Cash is king at the major shows, and to carry a pocket full of $100 on a plane or around the show, is not a comfortable feeling. The same goes for Las Vegas, when I go there. I'll take my chances getting them direct from my bank to avoid counterfeits.

IMO, those pens are useless. If you know what to look for, and it doesn't take rocket science, you won't get stuck.

They also give both false positives and false negatives. And they destroy any possible collector premium.

1996? Those look to modern :p

Also, I love the look of the security strips in UV. Nice and flashy.

I too find the new design to be overall more appealing.

I would recommend watching this clip http://youtu.be/qpeN3DVwk4Q starting at 49:00.
