FYI, the Kodak Easy Share digital cameras retail for around $100 new, and they take really good pics.

I got the z740 for like the same price without the battery months ago, need to go to radio shack

I use a SD card reader adapter with my Kodak V1233 camera to transfer pics

 

I've been struggling with my Canon ELPH, too. Thought it was just me. Guess I'll continue investigating a Canon EOS Rebel T4i.

That's AWESOME! You don't need huge megapixels for web coin pics, I've been saying it for years. I still use an old Canon SD700IS 6MP and it works fine for what I need it for. In fact, I have a much higher MP camera and I like the 700 better for coins. In fact, I bought a spare, used SD700IS in case my old one dies!

 

All you need to do now is learn how to crop. LOL

Can you photograph OMM and other subtle varieties with that setup?
