I know this is a rare date of this coin. I would like to know: What grade do you guys think my coin would recieve & what would the full value be. I'm thinking $200-$300 but it could be more or less. Let me know what your guys opinion is. Thanks.
A beautifil coin. I have (somewhere) a proof commen they struck back in 80's with that obverse. Really, they should strike that that coin again as bullion Libertads.
Well you have to take into consideration the history behind this coin & the low or unknown mintage. That would give it much value. I've seen these coins sell for about $100-$300 online, so they are worth much more then just bullion. On ebay they sell for more then morgans & are harder to find. The 1912 is one of the rare dates & I can't find it online for sale.
I've seen them offered before from Pontario. Do those coins strike up ok? The devices appear to be in opposition.
Nice! I only paid $120 for a whole entire set of old Silver Mexican Coins from the late 1800s to the early 1900s! And every single coin is in the set! Even the old rare copper pesos. I don't plan on ever selling this set. I love the history behind the coins. Was the one coin you seen for $150 the same date as mine??? 1912??? Because I read that the 1912 was a rare date & I haven't been able to find one online. Thanks for replying. I appreciate it.
You are talking about this coin.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mexico-1912-un-peso-caballito-silver-coin-32-/120988925806?nma=true&si=QAkAJIBtzA9YALRh%2BXLaot3ESX4%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 From the look of the picture I believe mine is in much better condition so I'm sure the value is much more then $150. I wouldn't sell it for that much.
Thank you! I appreciate it. Check out the whole set I have with this coin in it. I just posted it now.
Mexico did another tribute to the caballito sometime ariund 15 yrs ago. The rider was in a small circle device against a largefield showing the atlas back then. I've only seen that for $100 at 2 dealets online. I love my 2 oldies...
