everyone should be aware that ebay has scam artists selling coins. If you see something, say something. Contact a police officer or an EBAY official. Thank you for using the internet.

Got any good examples to post to show new comers. The big one I would say is watch out for the .999 MILS BARS!!!

Ut oh, looks like you guys are on to me. I knew selling all those 1910 IHCs was not a good idea.

...and this is something you just found out about? It's been going on since the START.

    The police will do nothing.

Back when I sold on eBay I had $480 froze in paypal back when they were doing that "let's randomly freeze peoples accounts and collect interest off them" thing. So I looked for a new payment processor. The only decent one I found was one called "Paymate" something eBay just partnered with.

They held everyone's money too, citing a "bank issue" and that "things would be taken care of asap". Well this issue lasted over a month, and every excuse was made.

I called the San Francisco police (the city the company was in), and they would not do a thing.

All the police care about is stuff where harm is involved, like robberies, drug raids, etc. If someone owes you money, the police won't do a thing.

There is no such thing as an "eBay official", just the poor excuse for customer service in the phillipines, and even they turn a blind eye to a lot of stuff.

The police won't do anything because it's a civil matter and/or they do not have jurisdiction. It's not because they have better things to do.

Maybe I'm wrong on this one, but I am highly suspicious of a seller who has a number of coins, buffalos for example, that all have the same patina, or look to them.

But I wasn't meaning that Paypal was one of those schemes. I was talking about the dealers.
