I like that design. I very much like this profile of Jefferson far better than the most recent image we have been stuck with…… Several years back I helped a friend liquidate his late fathers coin collection….. That man had untold dozens of rolls of these that he had lovingly labeled “new buffalos”…
That's cool. I would love to have a organized, awesome, very valuable collection but sadly I can only afford to collect whatever i find. I don't have rolls of anything except copper pennies lol. Maybe some day i will find something over the top. I found a 1992 penny today as i was cleaning the grounds from our previous race and I LOST IT!! Never got a chance to check it out. I'm so disgusted with myself about losing the coin.
Here you had me salivating for a “real” buffalo nickel by your title….then I come in here and see this thing! I like this one, too
They are still out there. I have about 50 rolls of them. They’ve never been broken out of the original rolls. I also have about 700-800 loose that I pulled from change.
Oh, you didn't disappoint at all...... I was just foolin' Any coin with a buffalo on it is way cool in my book!
These would be the new, just like you posted. As for the old original ones, I have about a thousand of them.
You may run across it again. Nice Buffalo. Just keep looking. You would be surprised what you can find in every day change. Good luck!
I personally think that is the best new design the mint has released in the last 100 years. It’s a real shame it was only a one year type. I have an NGC graded one for my collection. Not a valuable coin but I really enjoy the design.
That's where i get all my coins and paper money, from change givin back 2 me from purchases. I have not bought any coins. I enjoy finding them verses buying.
That’s how I have stumbled through a Westpoint quarter and even some older coins. My dad and mom had some saved so I’m going through those but yes, it’s amazing what you can find in your change. So if something is a $1.07, let them give you change.
Nothing wrong at all with the way you're collecting. When you can put together a nice collection at face value that is awesome. You don't have to spend a lot of money to enjoy the hunt.
