Last word on this. If you don't know if they are AT, a little lesson. THEY ARE. You should post a disclaimer on your auctions that they are not guaranteed to be Naturally Toned, as they are not. You have no third party grading to back up any claims of natural toning, and those are obviously AT. Sorry, but as a toning expert collector, I feel this is misleading.
Well said!! Your misleading your buyers, this is wrong and ya know it! Not only do you post images of these horrible looking coins on this forum, you sell them on e-bay. WRONG!! You take your pocket change and AT them. I feel a disclaimer is in order with your auctions...... Get a clue!
I feel so humbled and honored to be among such omnipotent toner "experts". Very honored indeed <holey water spritz>
For the general reader.. my impression of the discussion. 1 - You have here a few folks who want the forum members to feel that any toner must command a premium. *** There are market forces at work here folks. And some out there, like "HIGH" premiums, for all toners and DO NOT want joe collector getting their toner fix in the cheap seats. Understand that many on the forum have more $ tied up in toned coins than they have equity in their homes.... So there is vested interest in keeping nicely toned coins from the cheap seats out of the mix. It took me many years to get that. Over time, if you stay in the hobby, you'll see it too. Read the comments from the self declared toner "experts" carefully, and then note what they post and the magnitude of their vested interest,, you'll begin to smell it. Upshot... you can find MA toners out there from a fraction of the price of "holey water spritzed" toners... and you can put together nice sets for much less than 2x to 20x premium for "spritzed" toners. COLLECT WHAT YOU LIKE and beware of spending any premium on "any" toned coin. Cheers !!
These coins you have listed on e-bay are a JOKE!! Your interpretation of a "beautiful toned coin" is nothing more than a "ruined coin" by you and is not worth any more the the denomination of the coin itself. Like I said before....GET A CLUE!! ttp://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr149/crazyhounddog/KGrHqVpkFuFlgkwBQe0GGpscg60_57.jpg[/IMG]
I agree with MorganDude and second his motion to move on and lets see some great coin pictures again.
Gorgeous coins Dex. I have always enjoyed your coin pics. I also here you sell on ebay you will have to send me your seller name so I can look you up and see if I could ever afford to purchase one of your lovely coins.
No, sorry. I can't let this go. This is promoting fraudulent practices here and on e-bay. IF YOU KNOW that coins might be doctored, it is your responsibility to disclose that if you are a legitimate member of the numismatic hobby.
