So I recently bought a gorgeous war nickel set in an old Capitol holder. Sent them off to Greg for some top-notch photos! I posted a few in the toned coin thread but I wanted to show off the complete goods :)

They were marked $90...I would have paid that much gladly but I always ask what the lowest they would take is. The guy said $75. :)

Being a Jefferson fan myself, I was very happy to get these in hand and image them. Petro said they were nice, but I didn't expect them to be that nice. Amazing eye appeal, a beautiful set all around except for that 44 P lol.

The 42 P is my favorite for sure. It really is too bad they got lost in the mail on the way back to Petro

Is the Capitol holder set the square plastic one with a black insert that has something along the line of "Wartime Nickels 1942-45" in silver or gold print?

The 1942-P is very tough to find with color, fantastic coin!

If I get the gbroke and Lehigh stamps of approval on a Jefferson, I'm a happy camper! :)

Wow. I would love to have a collection like yours. There's just something about Nickels that attract me more than other clad coins.

A couple of yours in that group are certainly nicer than the examples I have of the same year.
    Jealous.

Keep in mind the "war" nickel set is 35% silver. :)
