Rainbow Toned coins

    Yes they sure do look 50 times better in person...I am still trying to figure out the best way to take pictures of the coins, seems like there is always light and some sort of reflection...

    these coins are in a "proof book" they all look to me to be proof coins taken from proof sets...

    gbroke, how did you get those pictures to look like that? Did you use a scanner?

    I think I can see the yellows, purples, and lavender.

    My guess is they look like this.... I've seen these before... sold on the 'bay... some pretty nice toners in them,, also some bad ones.

    Just an FYI. Your coins are in an album that likely contains proofs from 1968 on, (these will have "S" mint marks), but the rest of your coins are business strikes, not proofs :)
    Nice set!

    Those are some nice coins...mine did not come from the 'bay....mine came from my closet....

    Yes, I did some reading on these after you posted this, and that seems to be the case...I was unsure why the book had "proofs' on it, and some were not proof coins...

    thanks for clearing that up for me...
