Cazkaboom One for all, all for me.

Yak, I do believe it is in the specs of acceptable rotation by the mint.

Ahhh...thanks! I somehow thought more care was taken with the Proofs.

Caz, what is the "acceptable rotation by the Mint" for proof coins?

Usually, anything 5* and under should pass through the mint with no problem. I am not sure what the Mint does for proof coins though.

Given that 9:00 is a 90° rotation and half that would be 45°, I would think this might be a 15°-20° rotation. Granted, it's not a lot...but more than 5°.

    (alt-0176 = °)

On the pink and gold Ike, my gut feeling is PCGS will grade it, but I could be wrong. The "tell" for me are those parallel lines visible on the obverse (mostly in front of Ike's face). Every time I have submitted a coin with that toning pattern, PCGS has come back with a grade. I think that sort of pattern is practically impossible to fake (or engineer). I am submitting this coin using the PCGS Secure Plus service so it can be "sniffed" for illegal chemicals. Luckily it was only $10 so it's really a no-lose coin. This will be on the way to PCGS for grading in about a week (Robec has it right now). I will post here what PCGS says. Yes, it really does look like this in hand.

Won two Rosies yesterday off of Greatcollections. Overpayed on the 1960 but I had to have that beautiful toned coin. Its worth $5 Paid $7 + $5 buyers fee and $2 shipping. The 1956 is worth $15 picked it up for $5 + $5 buyers fee and $2 shipping so I did ok on that one. Still love them both so I am happy with them.

The best green color I have ever seen on an Ike. On it's way to PCGS for grading in the next week.
