Drove around my town and could only find tellers with $25.50 in loose halves however one was a 1968! Got 3 clad Ikes too.

    Also went to my local flea market and grabbed 22 mercury dimes for only $40. 1916, 1917 s, 1920, 1920 s, 1923, 2 1924, 1924 s, 1925, 1925 s, 1926, 1926 d, 1927 d, 1927 s, 1928, 1928 d, 1930 s, 1934, 1935 s, 1935 d, 1936 d.

$2.42 at current melt for a dime at $1.81 a piece, can't say no to that.

oh wait, is it one of those "if I told ya, I'd hafta kill ya" ones? :p

    Friday's pull:

box of halves - chicken scratch
    box 1 dimes - '57D
    box 2 dimes - '46, '57D, '64D

Went to a yahd sale today that was advertised on CL as having coin collections. Turns out the dude was just getting ready to open a coin store in the downtown area of that suburb. After all this CRH I'm finding it very difficult to pull the trigger on a real purchase, such as the Morgans and Peace dollars that he had. I ended up buying a ziplock bag half filled with foreign coins for $30. I know it was a huge roll of the dice on actually getting any silver or coming near breaking even, but I figure I'll chock it up to an afternoon of entertaining research. If anything really cool comes of it, I'll be sure to post.

Any day with a silver dollar is a good day, buddy. Sucks about the supply bank, but you'll find another... maybe try PNC? I'd max out at 4 boxes per bank.

Do any of you guys trade silver for wheat or copper pennies? Obviously silver is a better coin, however I have some wheats and pre 1982 copper pennies that I have for trade. If anyone is interested PM me.

You can always PM people yourself instead of spamming the thread with "PM me!" posts... also, the 14 ! marks were unneccessary, as were the 24 smiley faces.

    Holy cow

Just found a 1939D Nickel in a CWR, one of the last ones I need for my album! Only 2 holes I have left are 50D and 43D, I'm starting to think I can definitely at least find the 43D this year.

Also found a 1976S proof 40% silver 1976 quarter in the reject tube today. Full results in a bit once I finishing opening boxes

IMG_4756.jpg Finally was able to do my first crh of halves as a local bank had $400 worth of rolls. It was fun to search but the rolls were not only previously searched but appeared to have been organized and re-rolled by year. I found two rolls with nothing but 1976 halves. I was really hoping to get lucky and find at least one coin worth adding to my new collection out of 800 but no luck.

If they're already sorted by year then I'd check for errors/varieties if you haven't already done so.

I already took them back to another bank. Some of the wrappers were marked so I didn't think it was worth the time to closely check each coin. I think I may stick to penny rolls since wheaties seem to be easier to find keeping the thrill of the hunt so I don't get discouraged.
