    What about people that like ugly coins? My coins are old and ugly.

    The first coin might be a Kreuzer with unidentifiable date, the second coin is 10 Pfennig from 1959 with a mineralized reverse.

    Hey all, take a look at the CA Half in Post #260. I'm seeing a fake - what do you all think.

    Yep.

    When a coin looks odd (like the California half IMO) it is an indication that the coin could be suspect.

    What makes you question it's authenticity? I don't see anything that screams fake. It looks a little cleaned to me though.

    I know Ripley ultra sonically cleans her coins which leave the surface very shiny and this could trick ones eyes into thinking it was different. BUT I don't know much about that particular coin, so if you see a problem with the strike, then you might be on to something.
