Trouble With 1960 Pennies

    Hello,

    I'm having a hard time telling the difference between the small and large date pennies. I think I have one of each in the picture, but the difference is very subtle to me.

    Any help is appreciated.

    They are both large dates. The best way to tell is the upper part of the "6". On the large date, the top of the "6" overlaps the end of the bottom loop by a visible portion with more vertical separation, whereas in the small date, the top and bottom ends are almost exactly vertical, no over lap.     Thanks, I can see it a little better. I was comparing the 9s and it was hard to tell. Thanks again.

    The only thing you need to look at is the 6. It's VERY obvious when you do.

    Small date (note the die break on the "6" this is main reason they switched to the large date)
