I recently had to open a few Uncirculated rolls of 2012 P Nickels and each roll had 1 random old Circulated Nickel in the middle of the roll. What's the deal with that?
When coins are being wrapped, they get dumped into a huge hopper in bulk and get mixed around a bit. So if you dump in 10,000 brand new nickels and 2,000 circulated nickels, you're going to end up with a few rolls like yours.
I bought a whole box to silver hunt and to my surprise the entire box was 2012 P BU rolls. =( I broke open a couple but none had circulated coins in them.
You can try Ebay. I was able to sell an unopened box of 2012 d rolls on Ebay. I have an open box that I may try and sell as well. :smile
Yeah I have been selling them for roughly $5/ea on eBay. I didn't think about selling the unopened box.
