I hit the halves harder than normal and laid off a bit on everything else thanks to some policy changes at one of my main pickup branches, as well as me picking up all the CWR's I could find as opposed to taking boxes. Halves; $11,650 plus CWR's ($600 or so) 4 Walkers 1 Ben 8 '64's 181 40%ers (Thank you dream box!) Quarters; $300 plus CWR's ($500 or so, fruitless) 1 '62. Dimes; $2,500 plus about $2k in CWR's 1 Merc 29 Roosies Nickels; $600 plus $400 in CWR's 4 Buffs 6 Wars $17,850 searched 34.15 oz silver found $507.91 searched per oz found. And so ends my test month where I picked up as many CWR's as I could find... what a waste of time, they produced almost nothing except the half dollar rolls. Won't make that mistake again.
For reasons unknown, I did not search much at all this month. 3 boxes of cents- about 25 wheats 1 box of dimes- one roosie I hope October will bring that dream box I've been hoping for. Good luck everyone!
I have never got a box of halves before so im wondering will a bank normally let u order 2 or 3 and let u pick them up one at a time or does it have to be all at once? Thanks

September was pretty bad. Only about 4 ozt total, including some coins I picked up at garage sales over face value. I hope things pick up this month...
Here's mine: Quarters: Washington x5, RUST KS x3 Dimes: Roosie x46, Merc x5, 1979S Proof Nickels: War Nickel x14, Buffalo x7, 1969S Proof Pennies: Wheat x58, 1969S Proof (I think), and 2000 WAM x3 Halves: Walking Liberty x7, Franklin x1, 40% x20 Ikes: 63, including 40% x1 and 1976 T1 x3 September has been pretty nice, with 11.5473 ozt found out of $16,029 searched. Found a 1938D for my nickel album (as well as a 2nd 1938S), and plugged another hole with a 1944S war nickel (although it's chrome plated so I'll need another at some point), and a nice 1942D upgrade. Amazingly I got two double enders this month, a double walking liberty and a double buffalo. Other enders include a BF ender, two 40% enders, and a Roosie ender. In the reject tube I also found a small gold/diamond wheel shaped piece of jewelry that I'm pretty sure is real, but I need to get it appraised (I'd guess a few hundred bucks, at most). I'm not sure if it was because of the increased volume or what, but the summer was incredibly kind to me, with almost half of my yearly finds from the past 3 months. Currently I'm up to 115 ozt, so if my luck holds up I'll hit 10 troy pounds some time in mid october. Just for fun I decided to tally up my (usually ridiculous) foreign finds for the whole month, for once: $2.13 Canadian (including a 1967 commem and 3x young elizabeths), 10c Euro, 74p UK, 40c Singapore, 1 lek Albania, 10c Dominican Republic, 1c Bahamas, 6c Netherlands, 5c Ecuador, 1fr France, 15c Panama, 75ore Denmark, 7c Trinidad, $12.55 Mexico, 40r Switzerland, $1.00 Aruba, 10c Hong Kong, 36c East Caribbean States, 60c Bermuda, 2s Israel, $1.50 UAE, 100p Colombia, 5pf Germany, 10c Netherlands Antilles, 5c Peru, and a whole mess of tokens.
I swear it always takes me 2 days to crunch the numbers at the end...prolly cuz I'm pouring through my thread entries instead of keeping it on my own computer! anyhow... Grand total searched - $18247 dimes - $11450 roosies - 40 (including '92S silver proof) mercs - 4 CDN - 4 clad proofs - 2 quarters - $500 halves - $6217 40% - 8 90% - 18 clad proofs - 6 Ikes - $80 rejects: 1 roosie, 1 CDN dime gifts: 1 CDN quarter, 1 CDN dime The numbers seem up from August in all depts, especially thanks to that great teller tray hit with the halves.
Where did you score all those 90% halves? Those are very dry in my neck of the woods. Impressive monthly numbers volume wise. HOTN
16 of 18 were from a totally random teller tray hit at the credit union while dumping dimes. Those girls really have no concept about silver. I almost pooped a brick when she said "I think they're all 1964..."
Results (finally found the spreadsheet): Halves: 10x 40% 1 '64 2 Frankies 5 Washington Q Dimes: 1960 Canadian 1979 Proof 47 Roosies 9 Mercs.
