Newp. just came in today from northeastern coins. It's my first dmpl/pl and is also my first ngc slab as I normally go for pcgs. It's outside of what I normally am looking for but when I saw her I had to have her. enjoy.

Looks like some nice toners in there. I am also a fan of the Library of Coins albums!

I thought the toning on this one was pretty nice. It has a "streaky" look to it, and was quite different from most proof coins I have seen. I took these images with the slab tilted, and a 3 image "focus stack" for each side. It's still a little dark, but you get the idea of what the coin looks like when tilted into a light.

That coin looks absolutely stunning. Did you pick that up off ebay or auction sites graded or raw?

I sometimes low ball "lots" of Jefferson nickels. I recently won a 21 coin lot (1938 - 1970) for $20. I was very pleased when they arrived. Most were uncirculated, and it had some gems. Not to mention there were 4 1950 D's. I don't consider them "key" dates, but they do have some value.

Anyway, I imaged the earlier ones. I think it was $20 well spent.
