Lassie Lassie!! First First of of all all,, it's it's doubled doubled die die.. Sorry, I was answering for both the threads on this. Machine doubling appears flat and shelf-like. A true doubled die will have split serifs and/or a rounded appearance in the doubling just as the original letter or number or device. Now, go back and examine your coin in hand very carefully and see if you can tell the difference. I'm not trying to be funny, now, I'm trying to help you learn. Chris
yeah, I mesed up and put it on the wrong thread, and didn't know how to get it off.{world coins} To me, this looks doubled, like I said before, some of them are just so darn close to being either, it's hard to tell. Lord knows I've been wrong before..I can actually see round edges and splits on this coin. would it be correct that this is a double? The last thing I ever want to do is make any of you all think you are wasting your time on me. thanks again, lassiejames
It is never a waste of time to help someone who wants to learn. The only wasted time is spent trying to teach someone who doesn't want to learn. To be honest, my eyes just aren't good enough any more to be sure about photos. Hopefully, someone else will chime in. Chris
