What exactly is it you want enochian, information or the books themselves ? I'm asking this because you can go to pretty much any auction house's web site and download their catalogs any time you want, including the realized price lists. But if you want the actual hard copy of the catalogs there are basically 3 ways to get them. 1 - you can bid on, and or buy, items in their auctions. After that the auction house will send you, for free, future coin catalogs. Or 2 - you can subscribe to them. In other words you pay an annual fee and they send you all of their catalogs. Or 3 - you can go to the auction in person and they will give you a catalog for free.
well kinda like how online stores have catalogs or other buisnessess that are only threw catalogs i want something physical to look threw for nice pictures of coins and coin supplys maybe ill see something ive never seen before like a catalog that you can buy stuff from
The coin supply stores will send you printed catalogs for free, usually several times a year. All you have to do is ask for them - once. After that you'll get them forever. But with coins, that's a different story. There are a few companies, like Littleton, that put out catalogs and they will send them for free. But the coins are usually high priced, and once you are on their mailing list they will send you coins to buy, on approval. In other words, you didn't ask for the coins, but they sent them anyway. And then you have to send them back or pay for them. Other than that about all there is are auction catalogs. Now they are worth owning, I have shelves full of them. Some of the catalogs themselves are now worth hundreds of dollars. But I got them for free, because I bid on coins, bought coins, and sometimes even paid an annual subscription fee just to make sure I got the catalogs. Inside them you find beautiful color pictures of thousands of coins, along with a history of them, how many there are and in what grades. How common or rare they are, what they usually sell for. Basically all of the stuff that collectors always want to know. Coin catalogs are a wealth of information. And in this hobby, information and knowledge are king
Which supply stores and do you gett the auction catalogs just for biding and not winning auction coins cost to much for me but id love the cataloges
You're thinking of throwing in bids on coins you cannot afford just in the hopes of getting free "cataloges"? I highly doubt the auction houses (not to mention other, serious bidders) would appreciate this, especially since you can view them for FREE online. "Free" is a relative term, and just because something may be of no cost you, this does not mean someone else is not paying for it. May I offer a suggestion? http://www.ebay.com/sch/Auction-/118257/i.html?_nkw=coin+auction+catalogue
Just about all of them, here are just a few - http://whitman.com/store http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/?gclid=CMu11eG907ICFQmpnQodjywApQ http://www.jpscorner.com/ http://www.amosadvantage.com/scottonline/ Contact them, tell them you'd like to get their catalogs. As said already, if you can't back up your bid then don't bid.
