    Hey all,

I just wanted to let you know about this sale:
    http://www.ebay.com/sch/thenoonetrick/m.html

The seller is putting up new 2003A $2 notes for $1 and free shipping. I guess this is a promotion of theirs. I placed my order earlier today.

He does say he will black-list you if you buy more than one, however.

Anyway, it's about as good of a buy that you'll ever get.

    Enjoy!

I wonder why he has fifty seperate auctions up for the same identical thing? I question his sanity.

I think it's because you have to get it via a BIN listing - no bids accepted. Maybe it's easier for him to keep track of it that way? I noticed that after I bought one that particular listing no longer had the BIN option available.

I believe there's no listing fees on these; but when you have multiple items for sale, you can do a multi-listing with one auction (for example, "50 available"). I assume he's selling fifty of these and taking the fifty buck loss (plus postage). Strange that he has no other items for sale though.

There is one fresh negative, maybe an attempt to get back on track as soon as possible with meaningless cheapest possible sales?

The actual two dollar bills actually do say "Two Dollars" on them.

The seller had the original auction explaining the promotion priced at $131 BIN. The other auctions were posted with $1.00 BIN. Looks like they ran out. Perhaps they'll add some more, though.

So I just received this email about these auctions:

Regards all sales of Two Dollars bills on Ebay
    by the seller
    thenoonetrick
    between 09/22/2012 and 09/25/2012
First, let me thank everyone for following the rules. I received many interesting questions, it was fun.
I have been planning a sale of 25 two Dollars bills for $1 each with free shipping to celebrate my achievement of Top Rated Seller for some time. I had to alter that plan for the following reasons.
I have good news and bad news. I have not received one penny from the sale of these $2 bills. Ebay has (in my opinion)illegally confiscated all your payments with a flawed program called Buyer Protection.
The bad news is that I can only ship three
$2 bills for $1 at this time. I did not get a single penny from all of these sales. After the Paypal fees of $0.33 per dollar and an Ebay fee of $0.09 per dollar, I should have received $0.58 cents per $2 bill sold, barely enough to mail it. But, in this case, I didn’t even get the 58 cents per bill. I still have a negative balance on my PayPal account. The 3 bills are being sent to the first 3 people to pay.
The winners are dadluts, kgt0001, and punklet420.
Sorry to everyone else but I am a poor man and losing my ability to sell on Ebay is going to hurt my finances. This is the kind of Ebayer I was, though. I always took the extra step.
    The
good news is that you, the buyer will get your dollar back. Ebay has it, I don’t.
So what’s going on you want to know.
The Ebay Buyer Protection Program is flawed.
Check the community boards, search around, you will find story after story of no matter what, the seller loses. Often, the item is never returned and the seller is still out the money. Appeals to get the money back were denied. This is a call for the Buyers, the Sellers and Ebay Management to discuss this issue. This protest on my way out was the only way I could figure out to start something.
I have bought and sold on Ebay for 12 years. I’ve loved it. I recently worked my sales carefully and finally achieved Top Rated Seller status. I was feeling pretty good. On the morning of 09/17/2012 I checked my seller dashboard and for the first time I saw it: 20% discount on final value fees, WoW. That same afternoon, I rcvd an email from Ebay regarding an Item Not As Described case. My first one. Now, MY Ebay is coming to an end.
A recent sale resulted in a Not As Described case being filed by the buyer. I tried to communicate with the buyer. I received an Insufficient response. I went through the Buyer Protection Process. The buyer claimed that it arrived broken, he never proved anything. After I presented a detailed case to Ebay which clearly showed that there should not be a return nor a refund, EBAY sends a statement with no ruling, no explanation of logic, nothing to back up their position, it simply said:

Sorry there was a problem with this transaction, we’ve told the buyer to return the item, you will refund purchase and shipping.” That‘s $145 in this case. That’s usually the amount I sell per month. I sell my things on Ebay to supplement my income and pay bills now. I already paid bills with that money. I don’t have this money to return.
It was obvious to me that they did not read anything, they just rubber stamped it seller loses.
At the same time, Ebay put a MINUS $145 on my PayPal account. I had one sale after that and Ebay kept the item price and the shipping. I am not going to borrow money for postage to ship my items for free because Ebay wants to pamper buyers. I went ahead and shipped that last paid for item, even though I didn’t get the money for it. I read up on things at Ebay and If I don’t agree to give away my money, Ebay will suspend my account. I REFUSE TO GIVE AWAY MY MONEY. I was going to appeal, but have found that it would be a waste of time and effort. Doubtful if even one person from Ebay would read it. For this , I expect at least 2 or 3 eBay officials will have to at least take some notice and hopefully it will lead to good things for the Ebay community.
All of the monies that were paid for the $2 bills are in EBay’s and/ or Papal’s care, It only registers as a credit against the -$145 that Ebay put on my account. This is my way of protesting on my way out and trying to make a statement to Ebay management about the problem.
Please file an item not received case with Ebay and they will refund your money.
You are a buyer, you always win.
Be sure to tell them what you think of this.
Be sure to leave me a negative feedback saying this:
SHAME on you EBAY, look what you did to your top-rated seller, UNFAIR
I really wanted to do this for real, I have the $2 bills. I would have got some interesting feedback on it. But now, I’d like to rack up 145 negs in a row saying the same thing. One for each dollar. Come on, it’s going to be a grand farewell. Thanks, everybody. Good bye Ebay people, I’ll miss you, Terry

    For
    Ebay management
I understand this is my end on Ebay, so I turn in my Ebay account
‘thenoonetrick’, my Paypal account ending in 8276, and my associated Bill Me Later account. There is a $9.18 credit in my Bill Me Later account, that and the money I rcvd for item number Unique Transaction ID #8FV475338Y557004D for a net of $22.75 will cover my Ebay fees prior to 09/21/2012. I am very disappointed with you guys and some of the changes you have made over the years.
Please refund all these nice Ebayers their dollars and open up some kind of discussion about this issue.
I cannot begin to tell you how sad I am to be leaving Ebay, but I could not accept the financial risk this flawed , unfair, mismanaged policy put me under.
