Poland high grade coins (Post em) I got some nice coins of Poland recently. Please post some of your coins here. Last year, Evgeney posted a nice thread summarizing Polish history between 1918 & 1939. Here is the link: http://www.cointalk.com/t179783/ This first coin is a Poland 2 Zlote dated 1925. 27 mm, 10 grams of 0.7500 silver
This last Polish coin is a 10 Zlotych dated 1938. You can see just how large the 10 Zlotzch coin is in this last photo. It is 34 mm diameter and weighs 22 grams. It is a nice big chunk of silver.
I would be wearing gloves with that one, and have in a airtite holder at least. That is a beautiful coin, those are hard to find in nice white original without much wear.
I own the 10 Zlotych Jadwiga from 1932, but not imaged yet. Those early 20th century Polish coins are just so beautiful, and some are marvelously rare.
Evgeney reminds me that I listed Romania coins in the title of this thread. I agree that the 2 Lei coin is a pretty one. I got this 2 Lei dated 1912 from Allen Berman one week ago. It is 10 grams made of 0.8350 silver and nicely preserved IMO.
Here is another coin from Romania (also purchased from Allen Berman). It is a 1938 50 Lei depicting Carol II. It is 24 mm diameter & made of Nickel
Hello Spirityoda, #1 Welcome to CoinTalk. :welcome: #2 I just got this 1932 Poland 10 Zyotych this last weekend. It is not UNC (and it is cleaned) but the price of $12 was pretty cool for such a large piece of silver. It is about 34 mm diameter.
I've been keeping an eye out for good deals on the Queen Jadwiga and Jozef Pilsudski coins ever since I first saw these coins in this thread. $12 is an excellent deal! Congrats!
