I'm in favor of getting rid of pennies and keeping Penney's, but I'm just not sure what to do about Penny's.
Pennies are from Great Britain so if they want to get rid if them , that's their choice. Now cents can stay, as for Penny she is always welcomed.
I have no ill will towards Penny, she can stay if she wants--whoever she is. If you are talking about pennies, that would depend who you speak to. Copper penny hoarders could cash in. I have a small stash just in case but don't see it happening too soon.
And if anybody refers to a "nickel", you will say that it is not a US coin but a chemical element? In my opinion, the American 1 cent coin (penny) should be phased out, preferably with a regulation regarding the rounding of cash totals. But I'm not from the US, so I won't vote here ... Christian
