Hello all i have been just yesterday searching for new varieties old minor and possibly new. And since i havent heard of any 2011 d varieties i decided to take my pile of 2011 d pennies to the scanner to compare, contrast and verify. Searching for things like double dies, clash marks, etc. And the results of searching all my 2011 d came up with these two hopefully minor varieties. #1 This is the first lincoln cent with suspected doubling where the arrows are pointed at slight thickness an seperation #2 This is #2 lincoln cent with splits and extra thickness where the arrows are pointed at. Thoughts would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your time.
In my opinion even if these were from doubled dies I doubt that they would be worth much because they would be too minor. there is a fairley good doubled die in the 2011 P series that is a good one to watch for. I got one of these out of pocket change up in Indiana and have not been able to find another one here in Kentucky.
Hey thanks for the comment Rascal. I looked for these couple of coins for any form of variety not for value but more of discovery that i was actually able to find something. And since i am keeping my out for every thing i will hopefully find that 2011-p double die you are talking about. unfortunately we dotn get many p mint on the west coast at the moment especially from newer years.
supposed to be minor seperataion on the ends of the N and I, for th eprevious coins minor seperation on the first T, S, and last T in Trust.
