In my opinion, it's a very good possibiity. I'd have it attributed if it were mine. If it's 801, that's a good DDR to find. You might be a little optimistic with the XF though. I'm thinking a low VF.
I wouldn't even say a low VF, more like VG to F range. But then I notice the circular scratches on the obverse, likely from a rolling machine that just basically makes this quarter damaged goods, no grade. As for the DDR, maybe, still hard to tell in this poor quarters condition, it'd be easier to likely tell in hand. Even if it is a DDR, in this condition, I'd say it's still worth 25 cents in my opinion.
Yeah, I should have enlarged the obverse pic and taken a closer look. Fine details. But still worth much more than 25 cents if it is 801.
Only to those who collect them. To schmucks like me, I wouldn't spend more than 25 cents for it but then again, why swap quarters with a quarter I'd just spend anyways.
You guys are probably right on the grade VF to VG i always photograph my coins using the raw jpeg feature sometimes it will make the coin look worse than what it is, the files are about 15MB but they offer more detail. The first thing that caught my eye to a possible ddr was the A in America notice the strong secondary A that is just as strong as first, enlarge the first photo and use the plus tool and you will see the double.I want to confirm that this is a ddr coin but i don't think that it's worth grading.
Dont know the number of it but its a DDR.. telltale is the last A in America. look at the top and you can see the split. It may be worth sending it to CONCECA to attribution.. at least that way you have confirmation of the DDR by an expert looking at it in hand. ( and ... if your a member of CONECA, its really cheap!)
