I for one am quite impressed. Though I often wonder how they can figure out the theft so late in his career?
He'd been at it since 2003. He was taking around a thousand dollars a week. Here's the story about his buddy: http://money.msn.com/business-news/article.aspx?feed=AP&date=20120904&id=15517639
back in 1982 there were 7 meter collectors in Boston that stole at total of over $500,000 before they were caught.
Maybe he told the bank tellers he was a coin roll searcher and was getting the quarters from another bank and turning them in at that branch so he wouldn't search through the same quarters twice. Which makes me wonder - Does anyone here have a job servicing parking meters?
Maybe a thousand a month... a thousand a week since 2003 doesn't add up to $210k, that adds up to more like $400k-$450k.
Not really that hard to hide it. If he brought his lunch in a cooler, the cooler could hide it easily.
