What would you like the US mint to make?

The only way to pull that off would be a major currency reform in practically all countries, for the next few years I expect the central banks regardless of them being called Fed/ECB/BoE/..... to provide ever growing amounts of liquidity which deters the notion of worth stable money.

Anything with a liberty or freedom theme. No more stinking politicians. Coins made of silver/gold/copper. That is what the mint should be minting.

  4. I would like the US mint to quit using cartoon artists for it's designs.

That probably wouldn't be a good idea. It would be low relief and therefor hideous.

    Yakpoo,

That idea is simply outstanding! It would accomplish having 2 things we haven't had as of yet, a palladium coin and a UHR in something other than gold. I'm all for it. If it doesn't involve another reverse proof, I don't think the Mint will go for it though. :rollling:

The UHR design has been proposed a number of times since 2008 by representatives of Montana mining interests...but the bills died in Committee.

H.R. 6166 authorizing a palladium bullion coin was signed into law December 10, 2010. However, this design will have the Adolph A. Weinman Winged Liberty (Mercury) design on the Obverse and the 1907 American Institute of Architects medal design on the Reverse. The Bill calls for the designs to be "high relief", but I'm not sure it that means UHR. If it is an UHR coin, the coin with those designs will be truly spectacular!!
