Wow, totally mesmerized and somewhat confused. It looks like someone thought chamberlee and rum=n-cola or whatever were the same person. Looks like that theory has been blown out of the water. With that said, if a person kept track of all coins stolen and then tried to pair them up with sales on ebay, they could surely go bonkers. I'm not saying it's a bad idea but I really don't know that it's a good idea. ld-guy-smile:
Lol, I could only hope. Its hilarious that this guy is selling 100.00 worth of used clothing at the same time as a coin that should bring 8k-10k +. if you read the entire thread at the entire board, the whole thing is quite the soap opera and I'm really enjoying it.
C) The guy selling the coin on eBay comes to the CC thread and states he has the coin and the OP of the CC thread is the bad guy.
Sweet. I was premature with my post though. After reading the entire thread, the drama is FAR more interesting than the little tidbits I posted. I've actually bookmarked the thread so that I can finish reading the new responses in a couple days when this plays out. I know I know it's stupid....but hey, I'm in Afghanistan and there isn't anything better to do out here now that I've completely run out of movies to watch
The OP is the bad guy because he is still contending that he has this exact same coin in another part of the country at the same time as the person who has already verified that he has it in front of him (by way of showing college football scores in a new photograph). Here is my far fetched conspiracy theory. I think the ebay seller is "dad". I think son got the info he needed and dad ran with it and is selling the coin along with a 50.00 handbag and 100.00 worth of used clothes (I still chuckle at that). After being called out, son got butt hurt and wanted to defend himself by saying that the seller was using "stolen" pics of the coin. After that story unraveled, we are now where we are. The OP, "son" as I've called him, is going to either dissapear altogether, admit to the whole story, or come up with a new lie. Personally I'm hoping for option 3 to keep the drama going.
I don't know why they are arguing over there. The seller with 0 feedback admits that the pictures are from the OP. The coin may be his but the picture is stolen, end of story.
Yes, read here: http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=128352&whichpage=3#1126789 Chamblee56 further responds with http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=128352&whichpage=3#1126840 Then matthewvincent posts an updated picture of the coin in question with football scores: http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=128352&whichpage=4#1126864 Previously rum_n_cola said: http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=128352#1125663 If the picture with the coin and football scores is accurate then it is safe to say that things are starting to unravel for the OP of that thread. Here's a possibility: Chamblee56 and rum_n_cola are the same person. Perhaps rum_n_cola didn't like getting outted when people found that he was selling his rare coin on ebay after having just acquired some basic information about it on the CC forum. If this is true then this person is a troll for trying to come across as two different people and playing mind games with people.
Does that mean they are 3 involved now ??? We have found GrandPa Maybe should someone open a fishing coin contest ( just imagine the prize ...)
And the pic will have the football score written on it (since I doubt the seller of the coin re-shot the photo.. he wrote the score on a picture).
