This is US minted, right?

    sorry for the crappy cell pics. i left my camera at a cook out at mom-in-laws house yesterday. wondering is this is us minted? and if so, where? 2012-09-03 10.26.26.jpg 2012-09-03 10.26.45.jpg

    Honestly I'm not sure but I don't think so. Mainly because there is no value printed on the coin and any coin I've seen minted by the US mint has a face value on it. Also I don't see "In God We Trust" or "E Pluribus Unum" on it either.

    Well sure, it's not a US Mint issue. But the OP asked if it was US-minted. And I would imagine that it is minted in the US. By who, I do not know. Franklin Mint maybe?

    It's not a coin Riff , it's a silver round that was minted by a private mint.

    I believe it is a medal minted by the Working Man's Rare Coins

    It is in fact one of four or five different issues minted by the US Mint in Philly for the bicentennial. Here's what the original packaging looks like.

    I'm not sure why, but it's certainly privately minted. Notice the lack of a denomination.

    its a medal. that explains no denomination, i guess.

    i had two of the golds. i didnt put the connection together. my second thread on this site i posted a pic of the slver medals still in ogp that i sold shortly afterwards. my mom-in-law must have gotten it before my wifes uncle died. [​IMG][​IMG]
