Well, I just skimmed through the entire site, including auction pages, "my eBay", etc., and saw no change. What exactly are you seeing?

"MY EBAY" page is the same but when I go to search for coins its a whole new format. Ebay even asked my opinion of the new format. Not sure why it changed. They have done it in the past and give an opt out button but I don't see one now.

Could you take a screen shot of one of the pages? Will the "customize view" tab allow you to make changes?

I'm not seeing it here, either.

I'm still miffed over the last change, where they took away the ability to customize the order of columns (left to right) in your search result. I can interpret the results faster if I can see the BIN price right between the description and the image, instead of way off to the right. When you're surfing newly listed BIN bargains, that extra second or two can make the difference between catching it or losing it.

If they further monkey with the format, it might finally motivate me enough to build a browser plugin that rearranges things to my liking. Not sure how hard that'll be, but I think it should be possible.

What's changed is the refinements filter on the left side.

You can't select the TPGs to search for any more. You now have to type the TPG name, one at a time, in the search field at the top of the page.

I noticed earlier this week. I also left them a negative. I liked the old search page for coins where you could narrow by grading company, grade, mint etc. Hopefully they will add the refinements.

If you're talking about this view, here's the button to go back to the old view. But it's been like that for a little while. I'm not seeing anything else that's new. The filter options look the same to me.

Every time eBay decides to change my search pages, I always give them my opinion. The pages load slowly, the pictures do not always show-up in the search, too large a font (I prefer smaller), etc. I often have my old pages restored. Then, eBay changes them again. eBay receives another negative opinion. They change back again, and on and on, multiple times.

Here is a screenshot of the new format. Under condition in the coins and paper money section, NEW, USED. Really?

Nowhere that I can find, can you search for specific grades, companies, composition, mints. I'm sure this format is helpful for other types of items. Especially new items since ebay is trying to compete with amazon, but for coins it is horrible. JMO

Chances are this is AB testing. Tons of sites use it. Basically they have two versions of the site, some people see one, other people see the other and they analyze which one is more effective. It's not uncommon for websites to have more than one AB test going on at once.

I've been on eBay for about 14 years and probably a dozen format changes and I have yet to see one that wasn't described as terrible. Can you just think about how wonderful it must have been before a dozen "terrible" changes? (It really wasn't that great back then, we just object to have to changing how we do things. Humans ARE creatures of habit.)

No matter how they change it we will adapt to it and then complain all over again with the next "terrible" change.

Regarding the new format, I am having trouble with IE9 and the "back" button while surfing on ebay. I actually started to think I was crazy, but I googled it and enough other people are having the same problem that I now can safely blame eBay and/or MS. (but since I'm a MS fanboy, I'll blame eBay) Looks like compatibility mode fixes it, but you have to basically click that button after every freakign search, very annoying...
