This coin was pulled from an orignal mint roll of 1937's and hadn't seen the light of day for 75 years. If you want to know what original paper roll toning looks like, this is it.
Lance, Not only are your Lincolns complete show stoppers but your photographs are of equal quality. How did you get such incredible detailed close-ups? All of us on CT look at hundreds of coin pictures allowing us to compare and contrast each photo offering. Your Lincolns and CBH's rank at the top of the heap. Thanks for showing all of us what is possible. I better mention that Coppermania's run a close second. I don't want to leave him out of the accolades.
Thanks for the nice words, RiverGuy. I like most of what I've collected but I have some dogs too. Especially Lincolns I'm not happy with. I want upgrades but they're often tough to find with the right quality. As for the images, well, there are a lot of great coin photographers. Several of them post here. It's a sideline business for me. I shoot for a few large dealers like Sheridan Downey. I have a decent set-up and my cameras tell me I've taken more than 50,000 images. Do anything long enough, with enough effort, and you'll get reasonably competent. Here's a VDB I bought ATS for a song. Click on it if you want to see BIG. (I hope no one gets peeved for posting large images. Apologies in advance.) Lance.
