So I work at a bank and sometimes I come across a lot of different paper money and coins, so I thought I would post it here to share. Has your bank teller gave you some good coins or paper currency lately? If so post it I would love to see it! Here's some of mine: 1964 Quarter got a few days ago Customer used coin machine and kept trying to put it back in. (I heard silver clinging so ran over and told her I would take it at my counter ) 1977 hundred and 1969 ten dollar bill today In a customers deposit 1925 Stone Mountain got a few months ago Customer came in with this and 3 64 Kennedy halves and wanted 2 dollars for it!!!!!!
That's sweet. In 3 months my bank teller has saved me a -1928 $2 bill -1928 (i think, i can't remember though) $20 bill -5 stamped bicentennial $2 bills -5 40% kennedy halves -1 franklin half I can't complain!
Great finds TheSilverPicker. I just got a 1952 quarter someone was trying to put in the coin machine again!
This might be a silly question but here goes anyway. Say you're working the teller station and in the coin tray you spot some silver will the bank let you purchase those coins or does the bank frown upon things like that, thx.
What i do is i sell it ( basically trade it to another teller) and then have that teller run a withdrawal out of my account for what ever i want to buy. As long as you make it legit they don't mind if you buy paper money or currency from your drawer. So whenever i come across something good i snatch it!
