I know about the outer shell, but i still think that it would be really neat to have them, even if they are just for decoration or something that i could hang up in my room -Kyle
I hope you realize that after a coin is cracked out of the slab what is left is not much more than a small pile of broken pieces of plastic. I use a band saw so even the insert is damaged.. For storing your coins I would recommend using good quality flips. Here are two pics of 2x2 flips. I use a heavy card stock paper in my printer and create a block of descriptive text that slides into one side of the flip, the coin goes in the other side.
Kyle, next time I crack some out I'll let you know. I don't often buy slabbed coins and even the ones I do buy don't always get cracked, so it may be a while. Guy
I have a question. Is the white holder in NGC slabs hard plasticy or is it a soft foamy thing? Just curious
you still need slabs? pm me your address ill send you some. I have some that are almost perfect crackouts, no damage.
Tyler, it is like a hard rubber or a soft plastic. Seems like the sole of a good boot. And yes, I definitely started chewing my 52 proof cent after I got it out. That's what I get for not having gum on my person.
This is what the raw picture shows. I'm going to go over it with the DSLR when it comes back from disneyland.
