This was a neat coin. There were still a few left in circulation when I was a boy, even though they stopped making them in 1930.

I want one! Still haven't been able to find one I like that doesn't break the bank. I'll keep searching though.

I was thinking the same thing. the reverse of the slq is my favorite design of any coin.

Cool series! Here's one of mine, a 1921. I have a few lose ones but this is the one I like to show off the most. :D

Yep, I would miss it too. Toned SLQ's are hard to come by, especially looking like that. :thumb:

In 1916 they came out with three beautiful coins: Mercury dime, standing liberty quarter, and walking liberty half.

I just love the look of these coins. I think the eagle on the back is stunning, but I still haven't had the opportunity to buy a really nice example. And the tone on that one above is awesome!!

Cline is convinced that a few 1931 examples do exist. The 1931 Master Die was made as were some of the working dies. Ya never know:)

Here is one of my SLQ's. The '28 D is typically one of the worst struck issues. Only 3 FH's exist in MS 67 and somewhere around 70 in MS 65 and MS 66. This one is somewhat close but would never make it.
