On the obverse, the word Liberty looks crooked. The erty looks lower than the rest of the letters and bigger. Is that possible or my eyes deceiving me? The six in the date looks a lot fatter or thicker than the rest of the numbers. Could that be a DD? On the reverse the n in one is also thicker. Could that be a DD also? Didn't find where thicker numbers or letters are DD. Thanks coin talk to the rescue again IMG_20230106_203422517_HDR.jpg IMG_20230106_203253637_HDR.jpg

It took a strong enough hit to move those letters a little bit lower than they should be.

The Liberty can't be crooked. If it were millions of coins would be that way. Numbers and letters in the center of the date or words won't be doubled without the ones around them being doubled also. That's not how doubling works. Either you're looking too close or it's circulation damage.

I believe you could benefit from studying the minting process and then answer your own questions. How could that have happened at the mint?

You're right I should study up on it but since there are so many things that happened to coins you just never know what's going on gracias.

Actually learning those things allows you to narrow down those things that happen. The whole purpose of people answering questions for members is so they can learn.
