ok, here's my dilemma... i have some extra cash and can purchase a series 1934 cleveland $5 star note, or i can purchase an edwardian pence, class 3 minted in durham. yes, my collecting tastes are wide and varied. neither is going anywhere (as far as i can tell), but i can only afford one at this point. which would you buy? i'm not looking for "collect what you like" answers, as i like both, and i collect both. i'm not looking for "investment" answers, as one is silver and the other is not. i'm a COLLECTOR, not an INVESTOR. i guess this is a poll. no, i don't have pics. one is in a b&m shop, so i can't take pics. opinions welcome...

Which one can you get cheaper? You can always by that one and put the rest in the bank instead of spending it.

  7. Why would you want anyone to pick a coin for you?
Its not up to me to tell you the one i would get as iv never ask anyone do they like a coin i picked out.
The best part of coin collecting is getting coins that you like and its a choice i like a lot.
I think when its my money i spend that i need to get what i like not what someone else thinks i should like.
I get enough from goverment telling me what i need or should have and whats good for me.
You and you alone should make this choice.
Why would you ever want a guy like me to tell you what to buy?
I cant and will not do this for you and id never ask you to do it for me.

Yes, you should just flip a coin since you're a collector and you like both of them. Just a flip and it'll get rid of the dillema :D

  9. Buy the item you listed first, as that is likely the one you want the most. TC

I would go with the coin only because I don't collect a paper money. try doing this to help yourself decide...if you absolutely had to start selling you're collection and you had both pieces in question in it, which one do you think you'd sell first?
