Had John F. Kennedy not been assassinated in 1964, this is probably what our half dollars would look like today. Do any of you collect these?

Edit: BUncirculated brought to my attention that Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, not 1964.

I sure am glad that we didn't have to see any clad Franklins.

But I prefer the Franklins to the Kennedies.

If I didn't, after seeing that '59 of yours, I'd start! Really, that's my kind of coin. :thumb:

My favorite series. Love the design, and the fact that it's a short and easy series to put together.

I have several rolls of Franklins, but I can't say that I really collect them. Same with Walkers and silver Kennedys.

You're right, but they would be clad, so they wouldn't look that good. :D

Kennedy was assassinated in 1963 not 64.

If Kennedy had not been assassinated, he would still be smoking Cuban cigars and fooling around with Marilyn Monroe.

I hate the eagle on the reverse of the Franklins. Kind of has a "there's a big empty space, let's cram an eagle in there" look to it. Looks rather haphazard.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

Well, it was an afterthought when they found out that the eagle was mandatory.
