    2X4 revers to the actual stamping (incused) of '2X4' in the field just to the left of the bust of the frontiersman (Boone). Missouri was the twenty fourth state admitted to the union......

    Thats right, now I feel dumb. I should have known. First thing that came to mind was a 2 by 4, well it has been a long day.

    Not dumb, in fact it really was a good question. I'm sure there are some folks out there that didn't know that. :)
     
  6. I think that is a smart way to collect the classic commemoratives...look for eye appeal. I have seen some AU examples look much better than MS at a fraction of the cost. The Boone coin is very nice. TC

    The Missouri is one of the nicer commems when circulated, in my opinion.
