Looks to me like a drill job or someone turning something around creating a crater on the coin. PMD in my opinion. Dave
You might want to bring Lincoln to the doctor, looks to be a case of chronic dry skin. They'll have to apply some gold bond on there to make it right.
I do see the flap, however I still think it's PMD. Lamination is different than what's here, i'm fairly sure, but no professional. Curious to see what others say.
I like it. Can you see under the flap of metal? Just curious. My only concern would be the squareness of it... like if maybe someone peeled away a layer with a sharp instrument. I can't see it as close as you can, and I can't tell by the pics Laminations are anomolies that occur naturally and perfect squares don't occur in nature.... Those are my thoughts. I hope it is, because I like it. Very interesting.
yeah, i can see right underneath it. these are the closest i can get with my camera. it is really thin and im shocked it has not fallen off. but it came from an unc bank roll, so i doubt it was done on purpose.
OMG! I wasn't prepared for that! lol, I appreciate the close-ups, and please don't do that again. Awesome lamination! Put it in a 2x2 and be sure to flatten all the staples on your 2x2s with pliers or the one above or below that on in a stack may peel it off for you Nice find! :thumb:
