RDV-006 stands for the sixth identifiable (discovered) Reverse Die Variety.

The RDV-006 for the 1971-D Eisenhower Dollar, came to light in Dec 1999 shortly after the latest riound of Eisenhower Dollar Books were released. Charles Cataldo reported the Variety to CONECA in the Dec 1999 Errorscope Magazine.

The variety itself was again addressed on the PCGS Message boards in late 2004 in this thread: http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=26&threadid=322214

A description is contained in the following thread in my 4th post: http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=26&threadid=592352&STARTPAGE=1

My bank knows I'll be in on Monday morn. so they have saved the rolls I am interested in. If you have an account with a bank and get to know the employees, they will love to see you come in. If I make a good money on a coin I buy them bakery for their efforts. Had one kid, working for the summer, hand me over a 1910 lincoln, I gave him a mercury dime for his efforts. Good luck!

How many banks have you tried? They all have different rules and the tellers have different levels of friendliness or laziness. I was very frustrated with the Chase bank near my work beacuse they were very reluctant to order me boxes, but the Chase bank near my house is more than happy to give me three boxes per week.

I probably should have said what type of bank. Small local bank that has been there since the dawn of time. Unlike big banks, they roll what customers bring in. Big banks often get fed rolls or new coins, which I find boring. I started banking there for this reason and the fact I got a 1901 indian head penny, but have other bank for our main needs. Another place is local grocery stores, they tend to roll their own. I only take in a dollar bill for pennies, too much and its a bother. For quarters collectors, a laundry mat or car wash has great possiblities for changing dollars into quarters. These are places where people tend use money around the house. Good luck and keep looking.

Very good idea on making friends and bringing them stuff if I get something! That's very smart.
