NGC Coin Details http://www.ngccoin.com/CoinDetails/ This announcement was posted on the Collectors Society, today. It's free! Chris
Really cool app! Just downloaded it and tried it out. Works great! Their database for the info and description on certain coins is still missing a lot. However, I'm sure they are working on it. It is only a day old. I do suggest downloading it!
I like how they have terrible pictures of all of my coins... But yeah, the app is solid. I'm sure PCGS will release a similar app sooner or later. -Brian
I really have no need for this app. If NGC can make a list of all the mint errors they grade, and which mint errors they wont grade, maybe then will I be pleased. They also need to hire "real" experts to replace the kids that work there now.
You can please some of the people some of the time, but................. Just out of curiosity, does PCGS have a separate census for every single error for every single denomination/mintmark/series? Inquiring minds want to know. Chris
Howard I Really want to put together a looong reply to your absolutly redicilous reply but i´m too tired and know that it would not make any difference at all.
Im just sick of sending NGC mint errors only to get denied attribution. Some errors are deemed "insignificant" by ngc and they will not attribute them. If they are going to pick and choose which errors they acknowledge, then they should have a list of some sort. They absolutely should not keep the money and slab the coins without error attribution. That is what NGC does right now.
Perhaps you are going about it the wrong way. Have you ever submitted any of your errors for an opinion by a "specialist" before submitting them to NGC? If an initial examination results in a "not noteworthy" or "commonplace" with little or no value, then maybe you should withhold submitting it. Chris
