I really don't know what to tell you. It looks like a coin put out by a privately owned mint to me, but I'm not certain. Maybe wait until tomorrow when more people are active?
It isn't really a coin as there is no indication of origin nor value. It appears to be plastic or white metal, and since there is no indication of composition, weight, or size, it could have well came as a prize of a purchase. Probably a fair value.
I was just curious about it. It is pretty heavy and it does feel like a coin...anyway. I bought this off of him for a dollar as well. If anything I've only gained a couple cents lol.
Proof Eisenhower dollar. If it is silver, which I believe it is, it should be worth about $10, but let me check on it.
Ummm..shouldn't that be George H. Bush, Dubya's daddy on the token, coin, whatever it is.. I don't think Gorbachev was really around when Junior was in the Oval Office. But then again, they failed to put H. W. in the initials.
There are a couple listed on eBay as commemorative tokens. None for auction - all are buy-me-now. Cheapest price is $13+. http://www.ebay.com/itm/George-Bush...795?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c276f63f3
Looks like they were made by the National Historic Mint, which is a private mint in no way affiliated with the US Mint.
Its a 1971-S Silver proof that could have been worth a little more than a dollar if it wasn't in its present condition, unfortunately the spot on ikes cheek looks to be terminal but keep it if you like it i certainly would....
it's 40% silver. It's worth more than $1. Probably not more than $10, but definitely silver and definitely worth more than $1
