Won this one a hour later--not as high a grade as the other (only a 62), but liked the color. So, two Kryptonite beauties tonight!
Personally, I'm not too fond of either of those... But I will say that second one is pretty clean for a 62. :thumb: -Brian
It's called an "opinion" because the question asked or the statement made can be interpreted in many ways and vary between each person. Opinions are subjective - There is no "right" or "wrong" in an opinion. -Brian
IT is called MANNERS. You don't post "I don't like it" on someone else's coin, if you were brought up correctly--that is showing a lack of sensitivity and respect for one's feelings. Weren't you taught "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it?" I guess you were absent that day.
First of all, I never said, "I don't like it". I simply said "I'm not too fond of either of those". Second of all, I did have something nice to say - If you didn't catch the second paragraph in my first response to this thread, I mentioned how your second coin had a "clean cheek" for the grade it was assigned. Lastly, please fix your attitude... And next time, don't post a thread if you don't want to hear peoples' opinions. -Brian
Ok, lets both calm down. I gradeMS70 is within his rights to call a coin trash if he wants as long as he doesn't call the person trash. Sure would be nice if everyone had good manners on this forum, but I could probably only think of a couple of dozen who have consistently. Everybody has different levels of acceptance depending on who it is commenting, and how great the person thinks his/her coin. Many don't like toned coins, many love them...don't expect everyone to share your feelings about a coin. It is just an opinion. Each can judge the intent and level of significance on their own. Lets not let it get beyond that , Thanks
Poster responding to me blocked--thank goodness for the 'Ignore" feature. No, I didn't post it for grading and evaluation--I posed it for some friends who like toned coins. The young poster was extremely impolite, and rude--this was not a "grade your coin" thread, but a display one. There are plenty of coins that people post, and I might not like the acquisition, but I don't post negative comments about them, because it is insulting them and their taste. Save that for debate, and not display threads, is my opinion. I WILL NEVER trash someone's coin on a thread where they display their new purchases. I'd either "like it, make a positive comment, or ignore it" if it weren't something I happen to like. My last word on this subject, but I feel manners in commenting is a requisite of civility.
Thanks, I like it also. It is lower grade than most of the toners I have gotten, as it is a 62, and generally I personally like my baseline Morgans to be 63s. The cheek took a beating on that one, but I love the colors. The first one is a McClaren collection pedigree, and the reverse is really kind of unique. Thanks a lot for the feedback, guys!
No trying to invade your thread, I can't find the "Post a morgan" so Ill show you my new coin I picked up Although it has a few dark toning spots they are vibrate with purple and also the rainbow on the obverse and reverse made me buy it
