What happened to Merc Crazy? He really kept this thread alive and entertaining... no offense to anyone else, he just always seemed to be searching something; even on Sundays when most banks are closed :)

Now that I'm in the right thread...found this today in circulation, and it's in great condition, possibly an error too!

Was that in a penny box, Stryker? Did you check the last 8 in the date? Super find, congrats!

$500 CWR halves - el skunkerino
box of halves - '64, '67, and two clad '71S proofs that are really gnarly looking. I will hold onto them tho and hope for upgrades.

I found it in some CWR I picked up from my bank, I posted more/better pics in the "what's it worth" forum. I assume you're referencing the 8/7 (or 7/8) error, I don't think it has that, but I could be mistaken. I'm trying to find out about that M in AMERICA, kinda looks like an error. Thanks again though, it's certainly my best find so far!

$30 in nickels - a couple pre-60s and an impaired 1991-S proof. That is the first proof find for me. It's not worth much, but it's fun to find in circulation.

That's to bad... if anyone knows a way to contact him, could you send me a pm? I've heard he's had great luck lately

$500 box of halves, no silver from this box, but I did find my first proof, a 1972, which I was happy about. Also found a 2007 D&P and a 2005 P.

    2 boxes of halves. 1st 1943S WLH and 3/40%, 2nd 4/40% and my 3rd 1974D DDO.
    4 boxes of dimes. 1st- 1 Rosie, 2nd- 1 Rosie, 3rd- 5 Rosies, 1 1940 Merc, 4th- 6 Rosies, 1 1924 Merc. Total was 15 90% dimes.

The pictures have the halves from earlier this week in them. One of which is a 1964D that has what I think is machine doubling on the reverse.

    From earlier this week:
    Two boxes of halves: Nothing
    $190 CWR halves: Nothing
    $100 BWR halves: Nothing
    $67.50 loose halves: Two 40%

That was a pretty bad day. And today I found out that all the local Wells Fargo branches will start charging to buy significant amounts of coin. That's really going to cut down my ability to roll-search on the weekends, as they have the best Saturday hours and the only Sunday branch I know of.

    Today's results:
    $4 Pennies: 6 copper.
    $10 Nickles: two 1940P.
$20 Dimes: one extra, which I had to use to replace a 1943S Steel Cent that somehow managed to get stuffed into another of the rolls. And a 1944S Mercury!
$360 Quarters: a 100 WON South Korean, I have gotten a few of those before.
    $10 loose half dollars: skunk.

That doesnt surprise me at all. The reason I havent been posting roll-searching results is because my most convenient banks charge fees to buy so I'm taking a break for a while
