I was able to nail these two down ... talk about Lucky !!
I was just discussing the 1895-P that another friend had just bought
when I stumbled across this one a few minutes later - and this one
was $100 less than the one my friend just sold !!

The following coin is well known for having 21 RPD's... I hope I get one of them ...

Hope you enjoyed my little run of Dimes - they are scheduled to go to my first cousin's 13 yr old son
who loves coins - but between Hockey & Little League, he really doesn't have a lot of free time on his hands.

He starts High School this September - and I hope he does well and can devote a week or two next Summer to
the ANA Summer Seminar. I'm going to try and get him out there - it will open his eyes up to other interests
and he's the perfect age to get involved.

All I can say is that with out the YN's of this world, there won't be very much of a hobby left,
once all the Baby Boomers [ yeah, us Ol Folk now ] retire from collecting or pass away.
We were the fodder that kept the hobby alive from the mid 1950's to the 1990's and beyond.

    doug444 STAMPS and POSTCARDS too!

Here's a really nice 1913 Barber half that's a funny color. I doubt that PCGS would grade it. Any ideas?

Although that is a nice AU example of a Semi Key Date - I seriously don't think
PCGS will assign a grade for it - the OBV lloks like Altered Surfaces - and would
only get a Genuine Holder. Still, its a tough coin and wouldn't mind wrapping it
up in a Taco Bell napkin and leaving on a window shelf for a year or two !

The raw set I brought to the ANA in Boston -
and sold within 5 minutes of the Convention opening.

This set has got to be the most fun to assemble -
and if you trust your grading enough to buy raw coins,
you'll do alright in the end.

I guess I'll play the straight man here, LOL. Why a Taco Bell napkin, and what will that do? Would it be easier to just spread it with salsa over the weekend?

Seems you're the last coin collector to find this out - the chemicals in the Taco Bell
napkins have proven to tone silver coins beautifully - and many have sold for crazy money -
although I have not tried this myself with a Taco Bell napkin - hundreds have tried it and
    with great sucess.

I just stick them in a Waite Raymond or Library of Coins album page
and with the heat and humity of SW Florida, I get pretty good results...
