Nice looking coins! Based on the pictures i'd say they all grade between ms63-ms65. If you can get better pictures out of the holders it would be better~
Be sure to check them for the O/O VAM's. There are several that are "Top 100" or "Hot 50" with the "O over O" mintmark. http://www.vamworld.com/1884-O+VAMs My personal favorite is the VAM-6 Top 100. Chris
#1 - 64 #2 - 64 #3 - 63 #4 - 63 #5 - 63 #6 - 62 ... I highly doubt any would make "gem" at PCGS due to flat strikes. The cheek on #1 is the best, IMO, but the strike keeps it from a 65. All look like nice, original pieces, possibly from an original roll. And, yes, as Chris mentioned, they'd definitely be worth checking for the RPM. -Brian
Coin 1 is the only AU of the bunch. Wear in the hairline, and eagle's breast will hold it down from MS. The rest look BU-GU no higher than 64, IMO.
They are ALL within the same range--typical garden variety Morgans in the 62-64 range--NONE of them are higher, and I see no signs of circulation. They are low-mid level uncirculated, as I have seen hundreds exactly like that.
Yeah... Definitely mint-state. I think BUncirculated is just mistaking a weak strike on the high points for a little rub, which is common mistake. -Brian
I would figure an average price of $60-65 each as raw coins. Slabbed, they'd be around $70-80 each. Since they are raw, figure about $60 each.
I have them on the bay for $360 if they dont sell in a month, I'll probably be making my first ever submission for coins to be graded.
MS65 seems like a long shot, the second coin might be the closest to a 65, except the contact mark on the face might keep it out of a holder
Agreed and said that earlier. Nothing better than a 64 there. I would not waste slabbing them to sell. If you don't get $360, reduce the price to $325, and they will sell raw. There is NO 65 in that group.
Yeah from the beginning I didn't think a 65 was even an option, 64 yes but not a 65. It would be a waste to get them slabbed, even if I went with Anacs I believe its $14 per coin I'd be in for nearly $50 each.
