I am new to "Roll Searching" so I was excited to go out to the nearby banks and do it. I went to 6-7 different banks asking for half-dollar rolls. All but one of them didn't have half dollar rolls except for a local credit union. However, before I got the words, "Can I buy them from you?" out of my mouth, they asked if I was a member. I am not. Any advice/ideas on how to get rolls of halves?
Just keep at it. I don't know how many banks are in your area but there are tons where I'm at. Just ask the next one. Wait a week and ask again.
