Lots of "peace" coins around. And even if we subtract those that are not actually peace but hey-we-won coins, there are plenty left. Christian
If you want to be in every time zone within 1-second, stand on the north pole and spin quickly. You'll see a day in a second!
I call this the grading song but I think it might work for world peace. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jr9hPbYmBo
Well, there are lots of coins dedicated to peace, and even if we leave those out that I mentioned before ("we now have peace because you lost and we won"), there are quite a few left. Here is one from Finland, with a design that is quite abstract - which applies to many Finnish coins - and no particular occasion. From the description/background info at the Finnish Mint's website: "Peace is the natural state for mankind and war is an exception to that state. Peace is a structural element in a harmonious and happy life. Security for its part provides people with the possibility to trust in the future. The concept of peace can be split into negative and positive peace. Negative peace is the absence of war while positive peace is the absence of potential structural causes of war. A dictatorship, for example, that abuses human rights may meet the definition for being in a state of negative peace (no widespread violence) yet fail to meet that for positive peace since, in a structural sense, the dictatorship is violent. Peace and security occur only when, in addition to war, both indirect and structural violence are removed from people's lives." Christian

That coin is extremely volcano-less. The two sides are basically the two sides of a wall. Then there is a rectangular hole, which is supposed to be an embrasure, and that is indeed a hole in the coin. Then we have two pigeons, symbols of peace, carrying green olive twigs. Funny, I was just thinking that! And then there's that spot in the western U.S. where you can be in 4 states at once...
As long as we have 6+ billion people and finite resources, there will always be wars and fakery of friendship.
