Bought a 77 mint set intending on getting some nice ikes, but the ikes had that nasty gunk that can build up inside the cello. This was the only coin out of the set to not be affected and i thought it looked kinda nice...:thumb:
1917 Lincoln Cent. PCGS MS65RB. I bought this coin raw off ebay for $90 in late May; and posted about it on CoinTalk in early June here ... http://www.cointalk.com/t158772-264/#post1456202. My initial posting generated a pile of controversy in subsequent posts about the grade-ability of this Lincoln based on the seller's reputation. The results? PCGS came back with an MS65RB grade. So my $90 raw coin gamble, now has a PCGS Price Guide value of $210. I am happy as a clam about that!
Freed this one from an Antique Mall Was browsing an antique mall a couple of weekends ago, and saw this. Was thinking about starting a Half Cent collection so I got it for $43.00. Can't tell if that is damage on the obverse or a planchet flaw. Just looked in my "American Half Cents" book by Roger S. Cohen, Jr. and it appears to be a C3. I could get to like these.
